I have used Amsoil since 1972 and have gotten great performance from it. There are several good synthetics out there, but in my experience Amsoil is the best.
I can tell you that with Amsoil you can get at least a 5% increase in gasoline mileage! At today's gasoline prices that's big. If you keep your car for several years the savings really add up, and when you decide to trade it in the resale value will be greatly enhanced.
I change the oil in my cars once a year, or 25,000 miles with the magnets and Amsoil!
Warranties? Buy oil by the case and keep the receipts. Tell them you change your own oil, or have a someone change it for you. This is all the dealer needs to know.
You don't think car dealers put the best oil in your car do you? They sell you the cheapest oil they can find. That's one reason why they asked you to change it so often!
Only in the USA do people change their oil at 3,000 to 5,000 mile intervals. In Europe it is around 10,000 miles. Mini-Cooper, 15,000 miles. Mini's use a synthetic oil! Smart eh!
Your 36,000 mile warrant runs out quickly, and then the car is yours to maintain, so I strongly recommend that you use Amsoil oil, as well as our drain plug and filter magnets from day one.
When I buy a new car it has 6 Black Holes on the filter and the Dimple drain plug installed before the car leaves the dealership.
